He gently wrapped her in a hug, chin resting on the top of her head and remained quiet, unable to voice what his thoughts were clearly. His eyes flicked towards where Aru slept, feeling the most human than he had in a long time.

He nodded and picked it up, carrying it over and placing it in her hand. He gave a small smile of encouragement. "First lesson then to seeing without seeing. Put it on using your sense of touch, but don't be hasty. Take your time, actually feel the sheath and belt and understand what the textures mean before moving forward." Zay paused a moment. "I promised I'd help you learn to see how I've learned, and I intend on fulfilling it."

Stilling once it's placed in her hand, Avery slowly turns her head to his voice, hesitates before doing as he asked. Fumbling the first few tries, she grits her teeth but finally gets it, latching it together "Thank you.."

Smiling when she gets it, he replied, "No need to." He took her hand, intertwining his fingers in hers and started towards the door. "Now we can get going."
