"There's enough room, if you don't have space issues. My bed's not that small. And if anyone's to sleep in the chair, it won't be you, I won't have it."
Aru faced Zay, tugging on the back of his shirt. "Lay down?" he murmured.
Zay looked at the both of them, expression softening as he laid by them, facing Aru and Av, wrapping an arm around them. "I'll take laying in bed over sleeping in a chair any time," he murmured in return, leaning and kissing Avery's forehead then Aru's. "Get some sleep."

Few Weeks Later (spongebob narrator's voice)
Zay sat outside as Aru flew around for a little bit, waiting for Zay to finish his carving. He made a few last touches and blew off the dust, having carved a bird for Aru to play with. "All right, it's finished now."
Aru made a delighted sound and swooped down, shifting as he landed and ran over. "You finished it???"

Walking around in the woods outside her home a few minutes from them, Avery sighs softly, recalling the weeks it took for her to learn how to see with her other senses, and the few days after that it took to convince Zay to let her wander alone. Sniffing out an herb, she walks over and kneels to pick it before she stiffens, face twists, leans over. Getting sick, she trembles when the spell fades and covers her mouth, tears filling her eyes "No... Please..." she whispers, barely audible
"All right, it's finished now."
"You finished it???"
Hearing their voices faintly, her head snaps up, wipes at her face quickly to erase any sign of her discomfort, stands, brushing herself off before she resumes what she was doing, gathering herbs

"I did. Here," Zay passed the little bird to Aru, who took it with careful hands and beamed.
"It looks amazing! Will you teach me to carve like you?" Aru jumped around with the bird, thrilled.
Zay laughed, having opened up completely. "I can try, kiddo."

Getting a basket full, she inhales shakily before she finds her way back to them, plastering a smile onto her face "Boys, it's time for lunch." she murmurs, voice faltering a moment before it straightens

Aru turned and looked at her, "'Kay." He gave Zay a swift hug then ran inside to get stuff ready for lunch.
Zay smiled and stood, though he looked at her at the slip. "Is everything okay?" he asked quietly, waiting until she got closer before he fell into step by her.

Keeping a smile up until she listens to Aru leave, it falters slowly at Zay's question, gaze wavers, shakes her head, eyes closing "I think I'm sick.." she whispers, voice cracking with the half lie but unable to voice her fears just yet

"I can't hold any food down, and I'm lightheaded.." she admits quietly, eyes still closed "I think it's just a spell that'll pass. I need to lay down, after I put these herbs away and make you two lunch."
