Hearing the commotion, Aru flinched and sat against the door, the pouch with his figures finding its way into his hands as he squeezed his eyes shut.
"You're blind."
He drew his knees up to his chest, listening, unsure if he would really stay inside the room or not. His eyes opened and looked at the pouch, and under his breath his whispered, "Dad, what do I do....?"

"You're blind."
Chest heaving, Avery inhales slowly, teeth gritting together "And you're mistaken, if you think that's all I am." she hisses, bringing the blade forward, freezing at a outburst
Eyes raking over her, she jolts when Avery casts a blade her way, starts to spring back "Bukaeran , me da!" (Stop, it's me!) she makes out, flipping backwards effortlessly

Aru stiffened at the words, recognizing the language from somewhere, but he couldn't place where. Slowly, he turned his head and looked at the door, trying to determine what was happening.

Freezing, Avery's face pales before she drops the blade with a cry, stumbles back a few steps, hits the opposite wall, breaths shallow, voice strangled as she replies, not trusting her own ears "Zer dira izarrak harrapatzera erabili dut?" (What are the stars I used to hunt for?) she whispers
Eyes studying hers, Kiyori pauses a moment before straightening as she calmly replies "Baziren bi , Sirius eta Procyon" (There were two, Sirius and Procyon)

"Zer dira izarrak harrapatzera erabili dut?"
"Baziren bi , Sirius eta Procyon"
Aru's eyes widened. He knew that language for sure. It registered as Florasven, having been taught by Zay to learn the differences between the languages. Slowly he moved and faced the door, sitting on his knees with one hand clutching the pouch to his chest and the other steadying him on the floor.

Eyes widening, Avery trembles a moment before she looks up towards the ceiling, tears sliding down her cheeks slowly, arms limp at her side, small choked laugh, deathly quiet "Hona nahi ni hil nahiz?" (Are you here to kill me?) "Ni naiz. Baina ez nintzen zure narriadura informatuta, beraz, plan aldatu egin da." (I am. But I was not informed of your impairment, so the plan has changed.) Kiyori replies, sheathing her knives back into her cloak silently, eyes still trained on hers "Ez duzu nire aurka ekiteko, hori jakinda asmoa?" "Ni naiz. Baina ez nintzen zure narriadura informatuta, beraz, plan aldatu egin da. Ez ekintza hain zuzen bidali ninduten diozu bota hartzeko asmoa duzu?"
Aru's feathers ruffled as he tried to understand at least one or two of the words, but nothing was coming. However, hearing Avery's voice he stiffened, frowning deeply, then heard the sheathing of knives. He touched the door and leaned on it just a little, trying to hear better.

"Hori pasatzen dituzten ala ez asmoa duzun araberakoa da," (That depends on whether or not you plan to go through with it.) Avery whispers, head tilting back down, eyes meeting hers "Just jakin, itzuli borrokatuko dut" (Just know, I will fight back)
"Litzaidake ez gutxiago norbait espero zure Azpilkueta nintzen" (I'd expect nothing less from someone of someone with your bloodline) Kiyori replies, pausing just a moment, hesitance underlying in her tone "Baina ezin dut neure burua ekartzea orain zu hiltzen, ez zara" (But I can not bring myself to kill you now, not as you are)

Aru frowned, hearing the hesitation, and quietly he stood, uncertain and unable to stay in the room much longer. He made a humming warble sound, quiet and low, a sound much like he would make if he were shifted.

Eyes widening, her lips part in shock before she remembers Aru, takes off running past Kiyori, reaches the door to her room and pulls it open "Aru?" she whispers, face pale

Aru's face brightened a little, hearing Av, and half thinking that the threat was gone, he unlocked the door and cracked it a little, eyes wide and still fearful. "Is it safe to come out...?" he hesitated again. "I don't want to be alone..."

Aru pursed his lips. The next moment, he pulled open the door and darted forward, hugging her tightly and burying his face in her cloak, he fought off his fear, hand clutching the pouch still to his chest. Once he felt brave enough, he lifted his head a little, looking at the woman, keeping himself partially hidden and feathers flattened.

Wrapping her arms around him, she hugs him tightly to her chest, turns just a bit "I'll never leave yo-" she starts to whisper before she gasps, stumbles back away from Aru right into Kyori, knife embedded in her side "Ky...Or..." she whispers, falling
"I said I wouldn't kill you as you are now. I didn't say I'd let you get away unscathed." Kyori states quietly, pulling the blade free and watching Avery fall, wipes it clean on her cloak before she turns to look at the boy

Aru looked back at Av, gaze brightening just a little, though as her voice cut off and he heard the blade, his eyes widened and face paled.
"Ky...Or..."
"I said I wouldn't kill you as you are now. I didn't say I'd let you get away unscathed."
His other hand went back to the pouch at his chest, grip tightening on the pouch as he stared at Av, mouth working silently as tears welled. Seeing Kiyori move, his golden eyes snapped to her with hawk-like precision, his muscles coiling tightly and his feathers ruffling. Slowly his expression changed from shock to anger, feathers standing on end as he bared his teeth at the woman, golden eyes turning molten.
