"Nice to meet you. You are royal, as well."
"A bastard hardly counts." she pauses, Onyx nuzzling her hand. "Maybe so if I wasn't driven out, but I was left alone."

"A bastard hardly counts. Maybe so if I wasn't driven out, but I was left alone."
"A bastard is still a princess if born to one, regardless of their lineage. You count in my eyes." Jakys murmurs, eyes flicking to her for a moment

"A bastard is still a princess if born to one, regardless of their lineage. You count in my eyes."
She snorts quietly. "Then consider me what you wish, Frey." Hearing a sound some ways away, she pulls out the long stick-like object from her pack and pulls out some twine, quickly stringing her bow. After placing it across her shoulders, she reaches and pulls out an arrow shaft with the tail feathers on it and pulls out an arrow head and some sinew, popping the sinew into her mouth a moment. "Game up ahead," she says quietly, chewing.

"Still being formal." Jakys murmurs, sighing softly before he stills at her words, gaze flicking around, trying to see what she sees

"Still being formal.
She rolls her eyes, and hearing the sound again, she lets out a low whistle, almost like a winter bird, and Onyx takes off ahead of them. She drops to a knee and ties the arrow head onto her arrow and whips up another just in case, and she slips both into her belt as she starts forward, low to the ground.

Unmoving, Jakys watches Esper and Onyx move, lips pursed until he hears something off to their right, slowly swivels his head to look at the doe

It isn't long before Onyx darts through some bushes, something small running in front of him. With a trained eye Esper drops to a knee and notches an arrow in a blur, following the movements for a few heartbeats before it flies, hitting it's mark on a rabbit's neck. She lets out a breath and stands, though hearing something else she turns and looks, seeing Jak.

Pressing a finger to his lips, Jakys slowly moves it to point towards the direction of the deer, unable to kill it himself from this distance

Seeing the doe as he points, Esper's bow raises as she notches another arrow, drawing it. Her face is both relaxed and fierce as she studies her target, mouth set and brows low in concentration. She aims carefully and holds her breath, and the arrow flies and strikes again without miss.

"Nice shot." Jakys murmurs, walking over to the doe to pull the arrow from its hide carefully, wiping the blood off it onto the ground

"Nice shot."
Having forgotten he was there for a moment her face reddens a little at the compliment. "Thank you," she murmurs, going to retrieve the rabbit she shot.

"Thank you,"
Stilling at the sight of her blush, Jakys looks away, running his hand over his hair, jaw ticking "You're welcome."

"You're welcome."
She picks up the rabbit, rubbing Onyx's nose in praise, and the wolf licks her hand before trotting over to the deer, sniffing it.

"Should we make camp now or continue on for a bit further before we stop?" Jakys asks, turning to look at the two of them

"Should we make camp now or continue on for a bit further before we stop?"
She starts to field skin the rabbit, hands working quickly. "We'll continue forward." It isn't long before she finishes, and she carefully wraps the meat in some thick materials to keep the blood at bay, then moves on to the deer. "I'm certain the tribes aren't too far ahead. With the cold and the aftermath of the bandits, they won't be moving fast." She glances at him with an apologetic gaze. "They were never meant to get caught in the middle like that."
