"Vras. I did. She's in Norcrest, a town not far from here. I left her in the company of a blacksmith, along with Iniago. She's safe. There's someone I'd like to introduce you to, as well as the tribe."
Vras's gaze moves to Esper, wary and studying, though he wasn't as tense as he would normally be with outsiders-- only for the fact that the girl is a wildling and she had a ma'heege with her. "Go on."

"Go on."
Turning to look at Esp, he mentions her and Onyx forward then looking back to Vras "This is Esper Maes, half sister to Iberia Wynn, daughter of the late Sheran. And this is her Ma'heege Onyx."

She hesitantly slips off Onyx, and murmurs, "Svay," and he shifts as she steps forward. A ripple goes through the Kaji'it warriors as they recognize the name.
"We know of her," Vras answers after a moment, eyeing Esper, who keeps her gaze away. "She was the girl that the late Sheran has found as a babe, or so we thought..." He started putting pieces of the past together, and Odin, one of Iberia's warriors, pipped in.
"If she is half-blood to the Sherai, then that must mean that the former Sherai's accusations of there being a bastard child were not in fact false." The man looks Esper over. "And it also explains why she wanted the child gone."
Vras hesitates, uncertain. "I'm sure the Sheran had his reasons for not telling us so." He looks to Onyx, recognizing him as well. "And to see that one of Iniago's clansmen have bonded with her, there is no doubt she is of strong blood. Come, this way. We'd be return before the snow settles in."

"See? I told you nothing would happen to you." Jakys murmurs, glancing at Esper with a small smile of reassurance before his eyes flick to Odin, gaze almost warning before he turns to lead her after Vras, unmoving from her side

"See? I told you nothing would happen to you."
She followed closely by him, her gaze moving to the others as Onyx fell into step behind her. "Don't trust them all, Frey," she whispers, her eyes finding Odin's as they passed. "Like him, he's loyal to the last Sherai. He bears her crest on his cloak. Many of the elders do."

"I told you nobody will lay a finger on you while I am here." Jakys states quietly, arm slipping through hers as they walk, gaze trained on Vras's back but darting around every few seconds

"I told you nobody will lay a finger on you while I am here."
Esper nods, keeping close and holding his arm, keeping her gaze on Vras as they enter the camp, and Onyx edges closer to them. Vras dismounts and passes the reins of his horse to another, walking onward to the tent he had set up for the prince's and sherai's return.
"Let's talk in here."

"Let's talk in here."
Nodding, Jakys follows Vras in calmly, ducking his head down to pass through the flap "How many did we loose in the raid?"

"How many did we loose in the raid?"
Esper steps away once inside, looking around and listening. Onyx takes point at her side, clock heavy over his shoulders as he watches Vras with a keen gaze.
The flap closes behind him. "Not as many as we feared. It seems they had only one goal. We lost a few warriors on our part, and only one or two of your guardsmen, but the damage wasn't great."

"That's a small relief to hear." Jakys murmurs, sighing softly before he takes a position near Vras, gaze sharpening "Now, about Esper."

"That's a small relief to hear. Now, about Esper."
Vras looks to the girl, studying a moment. "How did you come to crosss paths with the Ajitan, Esper?" he asks, though he takes note of her uncertain glance to Jak, and he offers a small smile. "I assure you I mean no harm." he gestures to his cloak, which bore no sigil or marking like Odin's. "I know you had taken note of it earlier, but I am loyal to the late Sheran and his daughter, always has been."
She purses her lips in hesitation, unknowing of which part to begin. The part about Iberia and her feud with her, the one she was now beginning to rethink as childish? Or when Jakys had killed the legion?

"I trust him."
She hesitates again. "I... We met when I encountered the sherai," she answers truthfully. "I had a goal in mind, but that... Appears so childish to me now, and I regret all of my actions."
Vras studies her closely and understands, his expression remaining gentle though his smile falters just a little. "I can understand your frustration, Esper. Many others have gone through what you have."
"Vras.."
He turns his attention back to Jak, though his brow creases at the tone. "What is it?"

"Grelm is the one who lured the bandits here." Jakys murmurs, voice low as his gaze shadows "I failed to kill him, he's still out there. And I failed your tribe, by leading them to your doorstep. But now I need you're help finding him."

"You couldn't have known that he was the conspirator," Vras says lightly, trying to ease his guilt. "But we will more than happy to help you find him."
Onyx stiffens besides of Esper as he puts some pieces together. "Mistress," he murmurs, and Esper turns and looks at him questioningly. "The two you sent, they should've been nearly here, shouldn't they?"
She frowns at him, trying to understand what he's getting at before her face pales as realization strikes, and a hand comes up to her mouth, and quickly she looks to Jak.
