Waiting till everyone is asleep, Avery slowly rises from where she lays, pulls on her cloak silently, fully dressed, fire flickering over her face as she takes off into the night, disappearing

Aru laid curled up to Zay, feathers relaxed in his sleep and clutching his little figurines. Zay slept on his back, an arm around Aru to keep him from falling off the cot, though his expression wasn't one of peace.

Zay jerked awake with a sharp gasp, starting and sitting up as he heard a sharp clang, slowly relaxing when he saw it was only Aru's figurine falling to the ground, hitting the cot on the way. He let out a shaky breath as Aru stirred awake, feathers ruffling gently as his eyes opened to golden slits.
"Dad...?"
"It's all right. Just a rough dream," Zay forced a smile. "Go back to sleep."

Raising her foot up, she starts to push herself up, crying out silently as the wall there gives way, scrambles to stay up, gasping as she slings her arms over the top of the wall, breathing hard, forces herself not to look down, swallows, pushing her fear away, slips over the edge, landing on the other side, yelping when her ankle twists

Aru nodded, laying his head back down on Zay's shoulder, settling again, though Zay remained awake and staring at the wall. Why had he been dreaming of that?

Sleeping under some trees, she groans softly when sunlight hits her face, stirs, sits up quickly, hadn't meant to go to sleep. Zay stepped out of his tent, leaving Aru to rest as he looked around, cloak on his shoulders and Rizuin at his waist. He watched the other knights go on about their routines for a moment, letting the sun wake him even though he had been awake for several hours.

Not stopping till she's a good distance away from where she just was, hand finding its way to her waist where she usually keeps Rizuin, face paling when she realizes that she never did get him back from X'zayvean, grits her teeth

"Rogue!" Zay's head snapped towards the commander at the hiss, immediately responding to the nickname without thinking. "Walk with me."
A frown found its way to his lips as he caught up with Galen, glancing back towards the tents before training his gaze on his. "What's wrong, sir?"

"Malyns. She's gone." he mutters, looking at him, skin around his eyes tight with unspoken worry "I checked her tent, she's not there."

Zay's steps faltered and he came to a stop, staring at Galen with a slack expression, though the next moment his face paled. "That's...." He couldn't finish. It was exactly what woke him, but worse. "I think I know where's she's gone," he murmured after regaining his composure.
