Bri turned to him after a moment before hanging her head. "Sorry but I can't tell you much more than we are not from here. Most likely you have already figured out miniscule differences, such as speech. "

He gave a small nod, turning away from the machine and moving back to the door, looking at her. "I've noticed, but I hadn't thought anything of it." He paused, looking back at the computer. "Dorbun is a large city, so I had taken it as an accent and the dialect of some place I just hadn't seen yet." He looked back at her, studying.

"I've noticed, but I hadn't thought anything of it."
"I assumed as much. " she looked down gaze hidden. "I'm risking a lot just to show you this room."
"Dorbun is a large city, so I had taken it as an accent and the dialect of some place I just hadn't seen yet."
"It is. And you aren't wrong. This place you haven't seen yet, no one in Dorburn has. " she meets his gaze.

"I assumed as much. I'm risking a lot just to show you this room... It is. And you aren't wrong. This place you haven't seen yet, no one in Dorburn has. "
Vane hesitated, watching her. "Why would you risk so much to show me this, Brianna?"

"Why would you risk so much to show me this, Brianna?"
"I don't know honestly. Probably too tired of not telling someone. It gets old, besides- she trusts you boys. And I more or less trust her judgement. That may not be an answer but that's it."

He stepped to her, a hand resting on her shoulder with a gentle squeeze. "I understand."
From downstairs, he heard Atlas's voice, which sounded strained and slightly fearful. "Vane?" Vane turned towards the stairs. "Vane, it's happened again."
Swearing under his breath, Vane went downstairs to steps at a time, moving to the couch where Atlas had sat up, elbow propping him up and the other pulling him up. "I'm here."
"Where?" Atlas's eyes searched the air in front of him, keeping his panic low.
He reached out and took Atlas's face in his hand, turning it towards him. "Right here. Now breathe, and close your eyes. Remember what I've told you?" The younger boy pursed his lips and nodded, closing his eyes and tried to steady himself.

"I understand." Bri looked down before her gaze followed him to the door, only to watch him disappear on the steps.
Aviva stirred hearing a small commotion and her back straightened, simultaneously letting loose a yawn. "What's going on?"

"What's going on?"
"I'll explain later," Vane murmured, watching his brother. "Focus, and urge your eyes to open, not just physically, okay?"
"I know," Atlas murmured, his eyes opening a moment later, and his face grew panicked. His brother reacted instantly, sitting beside him.
"Atlas, I'm right here, you're okay. Just focus."
"But it's not working," he whispered, hand coming up and rubbing his eyes.
"Just keep trying." After a while of soft murmurs and quiet encouragement, Atlas rose his head and blinked several times, eyes squinting. Vane then asked, "How is it?"
"Blurry...."
"Give it a little bit. It'll come back."

"I'll explain later,"
Aviva watched with ever widening eyes. The longer they remained on the guys, the bigger they grew. She looked past them at Brianna who had just stepped forward off the back step. "Brianna." Immediately she got up, mind confused. She didn't know whether to help or not.
Brianna locked gazes with her before she walked forward to stand a few feet away from the couch.

He released his brother and gave him space as he rubbed his eyes again, letting out a sigh of relief. "They're getting worse," he murmured, looking back at Atlas.
"You don't have to remind me..." Atlas took a hefty breath and let it out, swinging his legs to the floor, his jaw working a moment.
