San...francisco?" "It's just that the things that you know and say, they're so foreign to me."
"That's alright. Things you say don't compute with me. I've never heard of half of things you mention. "
"Say, could you show me this.. San Francisco place sometime?"
Aviva smiled. "You want to go to San Francisco? Sure." her face fell after a minute and she lowered her gaze. "Actually, I don't know how to get back there at the moment. "
"This way."
Bri pulls against him a moment before she scooped up the chest clumsily as the ran. Shifting her arm she managed to get a better grip on it, tucking it under her arm as much as she could without dropping it. She let him lead her, keeping lookout for the archer. As they turned the corner she heard the arrow hit a moment too late. Glancing back she noticed that it had embedded itself in the wall. "We can't go back, not right now. Take me somewhere no one knows about. "

"You want to go to San Francisco? Sure. Actually, I don't know how to get back there at the moment."
Atlas turns thoughtful a moment, then he offers a reassuring smile. "I'm sure if anyone can figure out how to get somewhere, it's Vane. I swear, sometimes I feel like he has a fae telling him where everything is, giving him a map to every place he walks."
"We can't go back, not right now. Take me somewhere no one knows about. "
"I know," he murmurs, skidding to a stop by an abandoned store front, slinging the door open and sliding the little box across the floor, taking the chest from Bri and slides it in, spinning as he slams the door shut, eyes catching the glint of another arrow. His hand snaps out as he twists between the archer and Bri and he catches the arrow, the wood splintering in his hand. He immediately drops it, snatching Bri's hand and takes off down and alley again, shaking the one hand as a tanned-grey color fades from it. "The chest was slowing us down," he murmurs, turning sharply down a staircase that is easily missed unless you knew what you were looking for. The bottom comes out along the river docks, and he turns right again, keeping them under the walk-ways above them to obscure the archer's sight.

"That's amazing! I wish I could do that, I can never seem to get where I intend. Not that I mind getting lost, I do have fun. "
"I know,"
Bri doesn't complain when he takes the chest. It wasn't as heavy as she thought it would be, but it made it a lot easier to run. Hearing the whizz of the arrow, she turned immediately- only to witness it being crushed. As she was pulled again, she stumbled into the run. Shaking her head she blinked, momentarily thinking that she had imagined the grey around his hand. But no she hadn't- it was just disappearing fast. Feeling a tug to the side, she followed down the steps without missing a beat.

"Amazing and strange at the same time. I mean, it's like he sees everything all at once or something, I'm not sure." Atlas crosses his arm in a half pout. "It's almost like magick or something."
Vane continues ahead, eyes darting up and searching above them as he moves. However, his path lead them back up some stairs and he stops at a corner of an old, abandoned church, eyes scanning the area before he slips through a doorway, hand still in Bri's, and quickly walks to where a large boulder sits in the center of the chapel, the roof having caved in years ago. He releases Bri's hand and hurries to the boulder, leaning against it a moment before his face twists in concentration, his shoulder and hands against the stone. After a moment, it seems like nothing happens, though after a groan of effort escapes the boulder budges and he tilts it, revealing a trap door.
"Quick," he ground out, arms bulging slightly as he presses his knee against it. "Through there."

Aviva grinned at his expression. "It might be. Can you do magic? "
The archer lowers his weapon when he looses sight of his target. Frowning he retreated back the way he came, for now. Crouching on a roof, he waited for them to come out.
"Quick," "Through there."
Brianna hurried through, not questioning him at the moment. She would ask him when it was safe, right now she would be a fool not to notice that he had his hands full .Once she was inside she blinked a few times at the sudden darkness. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out a cylinder object.

"It might be. Can you do magic? "
Atlas shakes his head, "No. I can play the lute and tell stories and entertain, but by no means am I a magic wielder."
Once she slips through he slowly moved into the hole, standing on the ladder and holds the boulder at bay with one hand long enough to close the door, though once the door got so far he drops to the ground below as a thundering thud echoes overhead. He grunts as he hits, laying there a moment to catch his breath before he starts pushing himself up with a groan.

"You know.. in my book. That's the same thing, isn't it? I mean i'm not a magician, but some people can make stories come to life. "
Brianna clicked the end of it before she moved her hand around to examine her surroundings. Hearing him drop down she turned, almost jumping at the thud. Scolding herself, she walks over to him. "You shouldn't move after that." sitting near him, she exhaled - sitting the flashlight in between them. She set it up to where it was pointed at the entrance they just came in , effectively shedding light but not blinding them. "What is this place?"

He stares at her a long moment before a smile touches his face. "You know, I never thought about it that way. Maybe you're right."
"You shouldn't move after that. What is this place?"
"I'll be fine," he says as he props himself against the wall, starting at the sudden light, though he knows not to question it. "It's a passageway. Just down that way it opens up" Slowly he stands, giving his arms a shake, then starts walking slowly, a hand on the wall. "You won't need that torch for long."

Aviva returned his smile. "Possibly. " turning back to the box in front of them, she started putting things back with a torn look.
"I'll be fine,"
Her feet automatically move to follow him, holding the flashlight up for him. Bri shot him a look before sighing, but didn't reprimand him. For she would have said the same thing, and she has. She moves to walk beside him, eyes on him. A small huff that could have been her laughing passed through her lips as she watched him. "We make a interesting pair. "
"It's a passageway. Just down that way it opens up" "You won't need that torch for long."
"Ill put it away when we run into light. The last thing either of us need is to fall over something. "

"Possibly. "
Watching her a long moment, his head tilts as he recognizes the look. "What's wrong?'
"We make a interesting pair. I'll put it away when we run into light. The last thing either of us need is to fall over something. "
After a few more strides Vane turned and looks at her, dark blue eyes washed pale by the light. "Do you trust me?" Now he didn't need the wall's support and stands well on his own, back straight and arms free of their former ache.

"What's wrong?'
"Nothing." She closes the box before raising her head. "I just thought I knew everything about my cousin, but then I find this. I know I shouldn't have peeked in her belongings but I cant help but want to find out who these people are. "
Brianna stopped suddenly when he stopped walking, turning the light towards his direction as he stopped. As the light hit his eyes, she tilted her head at the color of them.
"Do you trust me?
"What?' She blinked at the question and frowned after a moment. Did she trust him? She thought back on what happened over the last few days. He had done nothing to prevent her from doing so otherwise. And he had managed to keep an open mind about staying in the same house, despite the risks. Shaking her head she sighed looking up. "Yes I suppose I do."

Atlas's expression softens as he understood. "Everyone has secrets they don't share. Even Vane has things he keeps from me. But I know he does it to protect me."
"Yes I suppose I do."
He nods towards the flashlight, then holds out his hand. "Take my hand and put out the light. I promise you won't trip over anything."

"I'm tired of secrets! They should have never been born." She buffed turning away with sad eyes. "Secrets ruin lives."
. "Take my hand and put out the light. I promise you won't trip over anything."
Brianna watched him a moment to collect her thoughts before she slipped her hand in his. "Alright. " she didn't know why she agreed to trust his promise-she had been hurt before.

Atlas studies her, his face falling a little as he sat criss crossed, hands pushing against his ankles as he leans against them a little. He looks down, knowing full well what she meant, and he understood it, too. He knows good and well that secrets had the tendency to destroy.
"Alright. "
Once the light goes out he starts forward again, slowly, but has no trouble seeing. After a few steps they round a corner, and the tunnel opens up into a large cavern. Crystals gleam and shine across the edge of the ground, and small lights dot the walls and ceiling, refracting through the crystals and it becomes amplified. Though the only source of light was the pale glow from the lights, they shine brightly against the stone and crystals.

Aviva looked at him a few minutes later, laughing awkwardly trying to lift the mood again. "Sorry."
Brianna's eyes widened as the walked into the cavern, moving away from him. As she moved further in, her hand went to a wall- gently roaming over the rock and crystals. Her shoulders immediately relaxed, as did her facial features. For a few moments she no longer held the guarded look that masked fear in her eyes. No this time she had a look of awe swirling with nostalgia.
