Enzo hopped away and flew into the air, wings fluttering and the sound of ruffling feathers, then ruffled fabric and the soft pat of feet. "Then take him with you," said a boy's voice as a boy, no older than 12 with feathered hair with browns and whites and keen golden brown eyes took the hawk's place.

Jumping at the sound of a voice, her head whirls around, hands feeling around for the sword that isn't there, tense "Who's there?" she hisses, trying to keep the tremble out of her voice

The boy seemed more than happy to tell, straightening with the feathers on his head fluffing just a little with pride. "Twelve."

"Aru it is, when you're a boy, at least." She murmurs, gaze softening, holds out her hand shamelessly "Come on then, help me check my traps and see if we caught anything fresh. I'm not sure what I caught before I left is edible at this point."

Hearing a smile in his voice, she almost smiles herself but holds it back "Oh? Well, isn't that wonderful." She murmurs, relaxing, squeezes his hand, gaze slightly sad "Ready to go?"
