"It's all right," Vras reassures Rin as he smiles. "This is the first she's been near the tribe since she was young, so it's only natural for her to be a bit puzzled."

"Really?..." Rin murmurs, hesitating before his face breaks into a smile "Let's go, please?"

Vras nods and leads the boy inside, eyes moving to where Esper sits near the fire, and he nods in hello. Esper, who looks up as they step in, studies them and returns the nod to Vras, though her eyes travel shortly after to the boy at his side.

Following them back to Esper's tent, he moves to step over to the side, watching as Rin spots her
Walking in, Rin looks around before his face pales upon spotting her, eyes waver as he slowly hobbles over to her

Vras lets him move forward, his hand remaining out if he needs to quickly help the boy, though he relaxes as Esper holds out a hand for him.
Esper, however, seems to recognize the boy's expression, and she offers a small smile as her hand is held out for him. "What's your name, medo?" (kiddo/child)

"Rin," she echoes, keeping him balanced. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Esper, and he is Onyx," she gestures to the wolf, who dips his head to the boy.

She laughs lightly and gives his hand a gentle squeeze. "You're still young. Perhaps you'll be sent out to find one once you become of age."

Watching Esper and the boy, Jakys relaxes at the sight of her smile before his jaw ticks at the boys words

"To gain a bond, you have to be strong," she explains, "but that doesn't mean just physically. You have to have a strong mind, and a strong heart," she gently taps her temple. "A Ma'heege chooses it's companion based on the qualities that would compliment them and make up for what they lack. Take me and Onyx, for example." She looks to her wolf, who raises his head. "He's far stronger than I am, and he's more calculated when it comes to making decisions. Without him, I would be far more brazen in my chooses and wouldn't stop to consider the consequences of them. On the other side, I find it easier to talk to people that he does, and I make up for my lack of strength with my speed and cunning. He is swift, but he struggles on improvisation where it may be needed and instead relies more on careful planning."
Epser looks back to Rin, hesitating a moment. "And if you look at my sister, you see something similar. She is both strong and swift, as fierce as a wolf herself, but sometimes she struggles choosing what her heart tells her to and holds many fears that she shouldn't have. Her Ma'heege helps counter her faults by talking to her and others, because he finds it easier to speak to them, and he helps support her and soothe her fears. Her will is strong, but often too strong, and he helps lessen that front so it's easier on everyone. With that wolf at her side, she becomes a strong leader, and the fire she has inside can burn as bright as it had before without burning others."

Eyes widening, Rin's face fills with wonder before his face breaks into a smile and he grins up at her cheekily "You know, if I were older, I'd ask you to marry me." laughing, his smile fades as the chuckles do "But thank you, for the advice."

She blinks at him, her cheeks growing rosy as her brow twitches in uncertainty, and her gaze slides towards Jak. "You're welcome, I'm glad I could help." She looks back at Rin with a quiet laugh.

Coughing at the comment, Jakys turns his head and looks away, beating at his chest, trying to catch his breath. Clearing his throat a moment later, he inhales, sighing as he looks at Vras "I mean no ill will, but I think it's time we rest."
"You're welcome, I'm glad I could help."
Smiling, Rin nods and steps back, face falling at Jak's words "Aww.."

Vras was reeling, and he composes himself as he offers an apologetic smile to Esper, who merely waves it off.
"Rest would do us all good," she says. "You look as though you could use some sleep, Medo. And we've had a long and weary road before getting here."
