He looked forward again, the glass resting on his knee now, and he sighed a moment later, setting the glass down on the table and sat back again. He lifted his now empty hand, hesitating, though shortly later his skin gained an earthy gray color halfway up his forearm. "There's kings and queens out there who want nothing more than to hunt down people who were born with the blessings of the earth and use them for their own selfish bidings."

Bri watched entranced at the change, her hand touching his arm gently- awe overcoming her face. " I never knew there were people with gifts like yours."

His eyes watched her hand brush over the hardened stone. "We're all over the place. There's ones like me, connected to the earth. There are those born of fire, ice, water, light. But you don't see them often. We hide what we have to save ourselves, though there are times where we will use them to save others." He paused a moment. "Like the arrow, or the boulders. I can do more than that, but it's been so long."

He let his hand fall to rest on his leg, head leaning back against the back of the couch as he stared ahead for a moment. He took a deep breath and mustered a small smile as his eyes closed, giving a small, almost unnoticeable shake of his head. "I can't promise that." He paused. "But I'll try,"

"Thats all I ask." Was her response that was followed by a kiss to his forehead. Bring stood before placing their glasses on the table. Moving to the small closet under the stairs she dug out a blanket before carrying it back to him. "Here."

Feeling the kiss on his forehead his eyes opened and watched her a moment, head raising as she stepped back over with the blanket. He took it after a moment with a nod, though he laid it beside him, offering a small apologetic quirk of his lips. "Sometimes I get too warm more than I do chilled. But you use it for now."

Bri shook her head. "Thats ok. " he didn't need to apologize. Silently she sat on the other end of the couch, feet curling beside her. She leaned agaisnt the arm rest, shifting sideways to get comfy.
