"Let's hope it tastes as good as it smells," he replied, smiling sheepishly as he sat a plate in front of her, taking another seat while Aru sat on the other side of Avery.
"I think you did good," Aru complimented with a grin and started to eat.

Fingers wrapping around the sandwich, she nods lightly, taking a bite. Chewing, she stills, small sound in the back of her throat, scarfs the food down, uncaring how she looks, it is her home after all

He smiled at her. "I have. You caught me scarfing a few days ago before you left." After finishing his, he leaned back in his seat, watching Aru and her, a gentle look on his face as he was now more open than ever. "I'm glad it was good. It means I haven't lost my touch."
