"It's nothing, I-" Avery starts before her jaw goes slack then rigid, teeth clenched, bites back a scream, hands clutching the edge of her seat tightly, hair failing in her face, head bowed

Pulling from her lap as she moved, Aru landed lightly on his feet, eyes widen. "What's happening?" He remembered what the woman had said earlier, and he tensed up. "What can I do to help?"

Gasping, Avery shoots up, swaying as she goes to take a step then collapses on the floor, hand clutching at her chest, tears frozen on her face "Help.. Bed.." she wheezes, free hand holding her up

Aru quickly rushed forward and helped her to her feet, doing his best to guide her to the room, shorter and smaller built than she. Making it to the bed he sat her down, panting lightly at the extortion.

Laying down, Avery gasps, jerking and shifting till she gets as comfortable as possible, hand gripping the sheet, tears escaping, trembles, eyes squeezed shut, body on fire

Aru sat in the chair, slouched and his hands in his lap at he watched with worry, feeling the anger stir again and he tried to swallow it back. In response, his eyes watered a little. Aru clenched his teeth and his hands, determined.

Opening her eyes, Avery cries silently, reaches out and grasps Aru's hands tightly but not enough to hurt him, needing something to distinguish besides the pain

Aru's hand curled around her, the crease between his brows growing deeper as he sat in silence. He didn't know what to do or how to help, and as he sat he tried to understand why. But being young still, he couldn't see why, and in turn let him toiling with himself.

Face relaxing a fraction of an inch at his actions, Avery tenses, eyes closing when the pain becomes all she can feel, passes out after a few minutes, body exerted from battling the poison

Aru sat curled up in the chair, knees to his chest and his head laying on them, arms hugging his shins with his figurine pouch in a hand. At the groan, he stirred a little, feathers moving just a little as he raised his head, expression tired.
