"You would have survived. And I made no mistake by saving you. You're the last of our family, Zophar, the last male. Our bloodline will continue with you, not me."
"Not if our lives keep taking sour turns like it has," he murmurs, eyes watching the mage's back.

"I hope you're right," He keeps pace with the mage and follows her to a small cabin in the woods, frowning as he sees an assortment of charms and animal skulls scattered about in the trees and around the home. "Mage or not, she's still a witch," he murmurs mainly to himself, uneasy.

"I hope you're right. Mage or not, she's still a witch,"
"You'll have to get past that, brother, at least for now." Kali murmurs quietly, nose scrunching up at the sight of the mage's home "Your sense of decoration is horrid."

"It's to keep unwanted eyes and bodies from straying too close," Bridgit replies, pulling her horse to a stop and slides out of the saddle. "that and it keeps unwelcome spirits and creatures from straying inside."

"I suppose I understand that."
"Plus some of them are attacked to some black magic, though don't let that scare you off. Very few witness that part of me," she reassures as she tethers the horse to a tree.
Zophar keeps a hand on his sister's arm as she climbs off, and he follows her shortly after. He looks around, then to the woman. "That's comforting."

Murmuring a thank you to her brother, Kali looks towards the woman, jaw set "And just why are we here, mage?"

"And just why are we here, mage?"
"Because you need rest," she answers easily, stepping over to the cabin door. "With blood magyk, one needs plenty of rest and herbs to prevent any nasty side affects. But we've no worry as long as you take things easy for a few days. And maybe in that time I can learn more about the two of you, and perhaps I'll tell you more about me." Bridgit pauses in the doorway with a smile, then she opens it and steps inside.
Zophar tethers their horse near the other, his frowning scowl still strong as he watches her.

"I have no wish to know about who you are." Kali mutters, watching Bridgit walk in before she turns to Zophar, lips pursed "What do you think, brother?"

"I don't trust her nearly as far as I can throw her," he murmurs, watching the mage disappear. "But she saved your life, and has been.... honest, though I hate to admit it. Maybe we'll stay a few days, see where this leads, and if it starts to go where we don't want to, we'll leave."

"Oddly enough, they left it," he replies, tapping the bag at his waist, having grabbed it when he offered it to the mage.
