"Do you really want me to stay?"
His hand comes back up to her cheek, the other holding the glass, his touch light. "I think I want you to stay." He leans forward and brushes his lips across hers, fleeting and gentle.

I think I want you to stay."
Bri exhaled as he did, tilting her head to press her lips against his but stops midway. Closing her eyes she grabbed his other hand that was holding the glass.

Feeling her other hand on his he pulled back just a fraction, eyes remaining closed for a heartbeat before they open, bright with a glimmer of life for a first time as he studied her face.

"Vane I-"Bri opened her eyes but forgot what she was going to say just by one look at him. Letting loose a breath she curled her fingers around his hand gently. Her eyes glistened with wonder and a need in her eyes. Though she doesn't respond otherwise, mind if a fuzz. Remembering what she was going to say her eyes fell a moment. She knew she liked him, but there was still a slight nagging in the back of her mind. Was it actually them making these choices or was it the alcohol.

"Vane I-"
A knowing look reached his expression and he straightened, hand moving from her cheek as his eyes close again, and quietly, he said, "It was of my choosing." And for a moment, he gained a wishful smile. "I can't get drunk." Though, when he opened his eyes again, they were partially apologetic. "Sorry, I probably should have thought that through a little more."

"It was of my choosing." "I can't get drunk."
"Oh." she smiled- laughing a moment. "That must be nice. I can- I'm not though. Not yet" she added quickly.
"Sorry, I probably should have thought that through a little more."
Bri glanced at him before kissing him briefly. Pulling back she shook her head. "No it was...nice. "

"Oh. That must be nice. I can- I'm not though. Not yet"
He smiled at the remark, relaxing when her lips brush his again.
"No it was...nice. "
Vane gazed at her. "So, you'll stay, then?"

So, you'll stay, then?"
Sighing she met his gaze, her own surrendering. "Yes ill stay.".

"Yes ill stay.".
His expression relaxed, relieved and content that he was able to help someone out, though he wasn't certain how he managed to fall so easily when he never had before. "Good."

"Good."
Brianna smiled after a moment before promptly laying her head against his shoulder. "So you're not going to sleep tonight?"

"So you're not going to sleep tonight?"
"I don't know." He gently rested his cheek against her hair, looking across the street. "I don't usually sleep to begin with, so the chances of me sleeping are slim."

"Maybe tonight you'll get lucky. " She blinked before laughing, a hand flying to her face. "I meant sleeping of course."

"Maybe tonight you'll get lucky. I meant sleeping of course."
Vane couldn't help but chuckle at her mishap, though the smile dimmed just a little as he said, "I'm not entirely one who has a good time finding the luck I need."

Bri laughed before grabbing his hand while standing. "Come on. A slim chance is still better than none."

"Come on. A slim chance is still better than none."
He shook his head, though despite his protest, he let her pull him up. "I don't know, Bri," Vane murmurs quietly. "That chance is a little less than slim."
